Effective Date: February 9, 2026
Welcome to Appliance Heroe. These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you” or “the Customer”), and Appliance Heroe (“we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of our website as well as the professional appliance repair services we provide.
1. ACCEPTANCE AND MODIFICATION
By accessing our website, requesting a diagnostic visit, or approving a repair quote, you agree to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions. Appliance Heroe reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of these Terms.
2. SERVICE PROVISION AND ACCESS
- On-Site Service: Our services are performed at the location provided by the Customer. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the appliance is accessible and in a safe, clean environment for the technician.
- Authorized Personnel: An adult (18 years or older) with the authority to make decisions and authorize payments must be present at the premises during the entire service window.
- Safety: We reserve the right to refuse service if the technician deems the environment unsafe, unsanitary, or if the appliance has been tampered with in a way that poses a risk.
3. DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES AND QUOTATIONS
- Service Call Fee: A non-refundable diagnostic fee is charged for every visit to your location. This fee covers the technician’s time, travel, and professional expertise used to identify the failure.
- Quotations: After the diagnosis, the technician will provide an estimate including parts and labor. Estimates are valid for 15 calendar days. If the Customer decides not to proceed with the repair, only the diagnostic fee is due.
- Hidden Defects: Occasionally, repairing one component reveals a secondary failure that was not detectable during the initial diagnosis. Appliance Heroe will notify the Customer of any additional costs before proceeding.
4. PARTS AND REPLACEMENTS
- Availability: We strive to use high-quality or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts. However, part availability depends on manufacturers and suppliers. Appliance Heroe is not liable for delays caused by backordered parts or shipping disruptions.
- Customer-Provided Parts: We generally do not install parts provided by the Customer. If we agree to do so, no warranty will be provided on the part or the labor associated with that specific repair.
5. PAYMENT AND FINANCIAL TERMS
- Due Date: All payments for diagnostic fees and completed repairs are due immediately upon completion of the service.
- Deposits: For specialized, high-cost, or non-returnable parts, Appliance Heroe requires a non-refundable deposit (usually 50% of the part cost) before the order is placed.
- Methods of Payment: We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and authorized electronic transfers.
6. EXTENDED WARRANTY POLICY
- Labor Warranty: We provide a warranty on our labor for a period of 90 days from the date of service, strictly covering the specific repair performed.
- Parts Warranty: Parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. If a part fails within the manufacturer’s warranty period, labor costs for replacement may still apply unless otherwise stated.
- Voiding Warranty: The warranty is immediately void if:
- The appliance is moved from the original service address.
- Any person other than an Appliance Heroe technician opens, modifies, or attempts to repair the appliance.
- The failure is caused by external factors (pests, power surges, floods, or misuse).
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appliance Heroe shall not be liable for:
- Incidental or consequential damages (e.g., food loss due to refrigerator failure, water damage from a leaking washer).
- Pre-existing damage, such as scratches on floors, cabinets, or walls that occur during the normal process of moving an appliance for repair.
- Loss of use of the appliance during the time it is awaiting parts or repair.
